Amelie, Year 5
Inspired by the #CaptainTom100 challenge, Amelie and her family participated in a 100km challenge in memory of her late Grandfather – an avid race walker, who would have been 100 this year. Amelie walked a whopping 100km in 16 days and reached an amazing 128km total for the month. Amelie and her family raised just short of £4500 for Cancer Research UK and walked over 650km as a family during April 2021. An incredible achievement showing great determination and kindness – well done Amelie!

Kyra, Year 3
Kyra, Year 3 and her brother Arjan, Nursery have been moved by the scale of grief and suffering engulfing India and wish to play their part in making a difference. They are influenced by the Sikh principles of "Sewa" (self-less service), "Sarbat da bhala" (well-being of the whole world) and recognising that the whole human race is one. On the occasion of Kyra’s 8th birthday, the siblings have chosen to fundraise for international charity Khalsa Aid who are working on the ground in India to provide relief in multiple ways such as supporting established medical and charitable organisations, providing oxygen concentrators, critical medical equipment and meals free of cost to assist impacted patients and their families. Kyra and Arjan may be mini in size but their intent is mighty and they have already raised an incredible £810! Such amazing and inspiring efforts Kyra and Arjan, well done!
