Welcome to Highfield School for Girls
At Highfield School for Girls we place great value on giving pupils the opportunity to flourish in all areas of school life. Throughout the school, we promote an atmosphere where a high level of achievement is valued. We aim to create a sense of happiness and warmth in which pupils are motivated to work and play to the best of their abilities. Both inside and outside the classroom, we generate a sense of vitality based on the principle that learning is fun.
We have been fortunate to attract and retain an outstanding team of experienced, qualified teachers and support staff, committed to listening to you and your child and making your family’s time with us as rewarding and fulfilling as possible. With small class sizes throughout the co-educational Pre-Prep department (Pre-School to Year 2) and the all-girls Prep department (Year 3-6) our team are able to be responsive to the needs of the individual ensuring continuity and progression for all.
We consider ourselves to be very privileged that parents have entrusted us with the care and education of their children and we value the contribution that parents make to the life of the school. Highfield School for Girls is a very happy community where there is an absolute commitment to providing the girls with first-class pastoral care. Please let me introduce myself, my name is Sarah Wallace and I am incredibly proud to be Headteacher of Highfield School for Girls.
Highfield is a small closely-knit family who produce confident, resilient and compassionate children, ready to take on the world! We all want the best for our children – a Highfield education is a rich, yet affordable experience with specialist teaching, small class sizes in a kind, caring and nurturing environment.

🌍 Our passion for sustainability & innovation has been fired up by Grow24 - an empowering sustainability challenge, thanks to the fabulous team @8billionideas 🌍
♻️ Mason House came up with a truly futuristic & sustainable `stacked farming` idea. They worked wonderfully as a team and were able to use vital communication skills to share and explain their futuristic ideas.
♻️ Hadfield House created a futuristic farm based on a vertical farming model. Their vision included reducing the carbon footprint of farming by reducing the transportation of produce and thereby reducing transportation emissions and costs. They also looked at how government grants could support their vision to make it more viable for farms financially.
♻️ Tovey House worked collaboratively to design a farm of the future – The ‘Dome Farm!’ Each dome houses a different part of the farm and comes complete with its own autonomous, robotic workforce. Each part was designed with sustainability in mind, as well as minimising waste and reducing ground footprint.

EYFS and Pre-Prep had a wonderful morning celebrating with their families.
After spending some time in the classroom with their children, parents were then treated to a magnificent show with dancing, rhymes, poems and songs.

🚀✨ An incredible day for our young innovators from Year 4 and Year 5 who participated in the STEM competition at Queen Anne’s School, showcasing their creativity and problem-solving skills! 👩🔬👨🔬
The Year 4s astounded us with their invention: a light-weight lifeboat equipped with essential medical aids, offering hope and assistance to those in need around the world. 🚤💊
Meanwhile, the Year 5s` ingenious creation was a transportable runway! 🛫🌍 Their innovation promises to revolutionise emergency response efforts, providing swift access to aid and support in even the most remote locations.
Congratulations to all the participants for their hard work, teamwork, and commitment to making a difference! 🌟 Let`s continue to inspire and uplift one another through the power of STEM. 💡
